Department of Defense and SUNY-ESF, Integrated Optic Chip Biosensor
This research and development project is an innovative and versatile approach for detection/identification of pathogens based on an integrated optic chip (IOC) sensor system. This technology employs a multi-channel interferometer laser based design that offers trace level detection sensitivities, rapid response, and multiple agent detection and identification capabilities in a compact package that can be used by unskilled personnel. Source Sentinel coordinated a design-build program for a sensor instrument with mechanical/electrical hardware based water real-time 24/7 analysis and incorporated features from C++ & JAVA applications using neural networks learning algorithms to minimize false positives detections during process control.
