SourceSentinel uses a combination of commercially available water quality analyzers and chemical sensors along with new chemical/biochip sensors (currently under development) to detect the presence of contaminants in a water, wastewater, or storm water matrix. The sensor outputs are collected and analyzed, which allows the system to determine a more accurate and appropriate response than what would be achieved using a single sensor or simple threshold approach. SourceSentinel has successfully modified laboratory equipment to run continuously in a field deployable situation as well as remote control usage.
SourceSentinel's unique decision-support technologies provide usable data quickly, and flexible sensor integration methods help managers avoid or minimize impending problems before they become costly or unsafe events. SourceSentinel is a 24/7 water monitoring system that delivers near real-time (NRT) situational awareness of water matrices and developing conditions.
